This serves to improve the flow of body fluid and nerve signals, also initiating relaxation of the muscles and reduction of nerve pressure. It is applied in a way to have a specific and positive impact on the body’s connective tissue network, the fascia, to promote overall body balance and assist injury recovery and maintain general health. It is safe and effective and can be used on anyone, including those suffering extreme trauma, the frail and the elderly, pregnant women and newborn babies. Bowen Therapy (ISBT) is now being recognised throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and South America. ISBT-Bowen Therapy is also approved for the public hospital system in Hong Kong and was recently included in the myofascial component of the Masters of Physiotherapy course at the historic Aveiro University, Portugal.
